Ascensus AI Strategy Leader, Enterprise Transformation in Boston, Massachusetts

Section 1: Position Summary

The AI Strategy Leader will be a critical member of Ascensus’ Transformation team, and be responsible for defining and implementing the AI strategy, AI use case framework and AI governance. This role involves designing frameworks for use case ideation, prioritization, and value realization, and setting-up the AI governance for the enterprise. The AI strategy leader will work closely with Ascensus Head of Transformation, IT and the AI Steering Committee, and be supported by an AI Strategy Analyst.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Define / refine AI strategy in conjunction with Ascensus AI Steering Committee

  • Design and execute against Use Case Ideation, Prioritization, and Value realization frameworks, including:

  • Define Use Case frameworks

  • Engage with key consulting partners creating leading edge solutions in financial services industry

  • Provide direction to AI Strategy Analyst conducting outside-in (e.g., market research) and inside-out (e.g., belief interviews) analyses – AI Strategy lead ultimately responsible to identify, size and prioritize use cases

  • Collaborate with Ascensus senior leaders to identify and prioritize use cases

  • Ensure Use Case is added to scrum teams technology roadmap, and ensure transition to Product Owner for “delivery”

  • Remain connected with scrum teams on prioritization and delivery strategy until value is realized

  • Report Use Case performance to relevant stakeholders during QBR cycle

  • Define and support deployment of large-scale projects “AI moonshots” in partnership with IT and the business

  • Define, socialize and implement AI governance, including:

  • Provide direction to the AI Strategy Analyst conducting market research to identify “fit-for-purpose” AI governance for Ascensus

  • Define and implement a governance framework working conjointly with IT, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, HR, etc.

  • Chair weekly / bi-weekly Steering Committee meeting

  • Develop materials for other governance forums and interactions with the business leaders (e.g., updates to CEO, CFO, Quarterly meetings / QBR)

Coordination with leaders outside Service & Operations

  • Thought partner and support BUs leading components of AI governance. For example:

  • Risks & Compliance on Responsible AI policy, AI risks framework

  • Tech & HR on talent development, training and hiring needs

  • Marketing on internal and external communications

  • HR & Marketing on change management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Supervision

  • AI Strategy Analyst

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA.

  • 5+ years leading AI Transformation at a top Consulting firm. Application of agile methodologies required.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Strong working knowledge of ChatGPT (or equivalent) tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead large-scale initiatives through collaboration with internal senior leaders.

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and metrics driven mindset.

  • Excellent “speed to output”: Strong ability to work in a time sensitive environment while managing multiple, large-scale initiatives.
