The opportunity
The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week.
In the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, our health care team provides medical, gynecological, nutritional, and psychological care and counseling. Our team is made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, mental health providers, and care coordinators — all of whom specialize in the care of teenagers and young adults.
The clinic is outpatient and serves primary care, eating disorder, reproductive endocrinology, long-acting reversible contraception, complex care, chronic fatigue, nutrition, and other specialties. The location is across the street from the main hospital in Boston. There is an administrative floor of offices above the clinic floor of exam rooms and consult rooms. The intern would be often at the clinic's front desk and alternatively on the administrative floor at a desk for non-patient-facing work if applicable
What you’ll do
The intern will be working primarily:
At the front desk of the adolescent clinic,
Checking patients in and checking patients out.
The clinic is outpatient and serves primary care, eating disorder, reproductive endocrinology, long-acting reversible contraception, complex care, chronic fatigue, nutrition, and other specialties.
There will be other projects depending on the needs of the clinic come summertime, and the interests of the intern. A past project was support for a pilot program involving bi-directional texting with patients for appointment reminders and coordination.
This position is fully Onsite.
