The Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, situated within Sargent College, has been devoted to improving the lives of individuals with psychiatric conditions for over 45 years. Our Research, Training, and Services divisions work to achieve this goal by researching and developing new interventions, by disseminating new advancements and programs to the field, and by providing programming that teaches critical skills to promote success in whatever goals our participants may have as students, workers, and citizens.
The Center’s Services division is currently inviting applicants for an Administrative Manager, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center (AM). The AM is a key member of the Services team and will support education programming that serves approximately 170 adult and college aged students with serious mental health conditions every semester. This is a person facing role that is fast paced, requires flexibility, a willingness to problem solve in the moment and the ability to multi-task every day.
Key skills for this position include strong confidence in communicating with a wide variety of people including people with disabilities; outstanding responding skills; strong problem-solving skills, strong problem-solving and organizational skills; expertise in Microsoft Excel, Qualtrics, and Wordpress, as well as experience with social media tools; high tolerance for change; and the ability to be flexible, track, monitor, and follow up on a diverse set of people and ongoing action items. This is an entirely in-person role.
Essential functions:
Manages daily activities of the department; financial responsibilities include managing purchases, payments, payroll, assist with annual report, disbursements, & purchase orders. Other responsibilities include organization, coordination, records, databases, office supply inventory, and equipment management. Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes.
Coordinate with departments to manage website and social media content, ensuring that new content is provided and ensuring that posts and updates are made in a timely manner and consistent with the Center’s style guide.
Responsible for timely processing of all inquiries via email, mail and telephone, etc. Responsible for routine personnel matters for temporary staff for the Department including hiring and documentation of hours. Will supervise a small part-time staff and work study students.
Register students and service recipients into programs, educational classes and training sessions; assist in the development of registration materials, course lists three semesters a year.
Plans and coordinates schedule of classes and meetings.
Responsible for managing special events - making arrangements, including location, budget, agenda, speakers, and handling logistics.
Administrative support for fundraising activities, at the direction of the Development Director.
