Delaware North Accounting Analyst, Ticket Operations in Boston, Massachusetts

The Opportunity

Delaware North Boston is searching for a Accounting Analyst, Ticket Operations to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, MA.


  • Guides departmental associates by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues and roadblocks with new procedures keeping in line with company needs.

  • Maintain and keep current with financial security working within legal regulations and corporate policy.

  • Responsible for enforcing PCI Compliance and accounting regulations implementing standard concepts, practices and procedures of the Delaware North Companies Control Evaluation Guidelines to ensure departmental compliance.

  • Advise Box Office Managers of financial implications and accountability of business decisions which includes management of Union Ticket Seller.

  • Work directly with ticket operations management staff to provide insight to financial ticketing decisions and ensure that proper implementation is filtering throughout all internal Finance Operations, Union Sellers and Box Office management channels.

  • Manage and collect all Box Office, Ticketmaster, external promoter and other internal departmental financial data for both the TD Garden legacy house events ie., BeanPot, Hockey East, MIAA, Disney on Ice, Concert events, showcase events ie., NCAA as well as the two major professional teams, the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.

  • Reconcile Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annual and Seasonal Box Office sales and receipts.

  • Prepare Box Office Daily, Monthly and Year to Date fiscal reporting via TM Host and Archtics.

  • Prepare the weekly Box Office receipts reports for the Teams to ensure timely payment of Ticket Sales.

  • Maintain cumulative details and reconcile final receipts/payments to final Team audits to ensure full payments are made each season per contract.

  • Manage Daily Box Office reconciliations of all monies ie, cash, check, credit card, internal payments/intra company ticket orders and sales ensuring that all are balanced and collected in a comprehensive reporting summary to provide the most productive and efficient workflow.

  • Oversee and manage the distribution, collection and ordering of all cash funds needed in the Box Office including but not limited to the $10,000 Box Office Operating fund.

  • Manage Ticket Seller $300.00 rotating daily banks. Analyzing cash needs based on current, future events and managing cash operations from point of sale.

  • Keep track of all unclaimed monies held due to sanctioned canceled events ie., concerts, family shows, sporting and showcase events. This relates to monies not refunded at the Box Office Window point of sale and must be kept for a time period of seven years per State regulations at which time all corresponding paperwork and monies are turned over to the TD Garden Finance Department and dutifully forwarded to the State of Massachusetts to be held by the Division of Unclaimed Property.

  • Research and facilitate chargeback Inquiries collecting documentation and providing compelling evidence needed to represent to Merchant.

  • Manage offsite storage of archived Box Office files with Iron Mountain.

  • Continue to innovative development and report creation as it relates to current and future software conversions for Box Office operations.


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

  • No direct reports but proactively influences, leads & coaches across the Box Office and Ticketing department. Potential to manage Administrative or Box Office Accounting team members.

  • Archtics and TM Host knowledge and ability to organize direct and manage systems.

  • Trusted business partner who delivers operational excellence by understanding the needs of the business and identifying opportunities to improve financial results.

  • Must exercise judgments and/or modification of a standard course of action to address the issue at hand.

  • Able to handle proprietary financial information with great care and discretion.

  • Strong communication skills, strong event/entertainment background, strong payment/cash management skills, detailed oriented with strong analytical and passionate for problem solving.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high energy fast-paced environment, while skillfully blending efforts and requirements of multiple personnel.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, willing to take risks with a proven ability to synthesize large amounts of data into clear, direct actionable materials/reports.

  • 7 + years of ticketing experience, sports arena/entertainment venue preferred.
