Wolters Kluwer Account Relationship and Management Executive- Media Health Advertising Sales in Boston, Massachusetts
The Account & Relationship Management Executive - Medical Advertising Sales has primary responsibility for driving profitable sales in an assigned territory for Wolters Kluwer medical media product solutions. Your clients will include product or marketing managers at pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, medical supply companies, media planners or account managers at advertising agencies, and account managers at medical communications agencies who wish to reach audience of doctors, nurses, and advanced practitioners. You will be responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships and ensuring a high level of satisfaction with your clients.
*This position will work from a remote home office and can be based anywhere in the U.S., North East preferred.**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives via prospecting and account management.
Develops sales strategy for prospects and assigned accounts and successfully manage deals through the full sales cycle.
Works with client to fully understand campaign objectives and can make recommendations based on media products we offer.
Completes thorough brief for digital media planning team.
Negotiates service/product terms with customers in line with guidelines.
Maintains regular communications with customers to ensure needs are met, performance satisfaction, new projects, address account problems, concerns and or suggestions.
Upsells add-on product sales for clients.
Documents and records all interactions with customers into our Sales Force (SFDC) system: This will include quotes, fact-finding, emails, activities, etc.
Learns all aspects of all products available for sale as well as objection handling.
Completes requests for proposals, campaign reports, publisher reports as needed.
Communicates regularly with publisher and society/association to report sales activities, seek out leads, and ensure positive relationship.
Pays attention to the competitive market and provides product feedback or enhancements to the team.
Regularly participates in team meetings, recommends suggestions for sales best practice.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
3+ years working in Account Management or Sales or other equivalent experience including:
Previous experience in digital and print advertising media sales, preferably in healthcare publishing and/or agency media planning.
Complete understanding of online advertising in order to sell bundled packages that may include banner ads, podcasts, roundtables, eNewsletters, microsites, direct emails campaigns, video, other online products and other special projects.
Solid understanding of marketing, business, financials, products/services and the market, preferably with a reputation for providing a level of expert knowledge within your industry.
MS Office proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Must understand how to pivot data for deeper understanding.
Must be proficient in Salesforce.com, Kantar, and other media tools.
Able to quickly learn new skills as needed.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong relationships in the oncology healthcare publishing industry, pharma, and med device space preferred.
Excellent communication (both written & oral) and presentation skills.
Ability to manage own territory/account and monitor resources accordingly
Travel: Approximately 20%, nationwide and to Canada, possibility of some international travel.
