BJs Wholesale Club Sr IT Business Analyst in BJ's Home Office Westborough, Massachusetts

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for providing process re-engineering, process improvement, software package selection, implementation and maintenance of new business processes and software solutions. This role will serve as the primary liaison between Information Technology and the business. And will help lead system integrations and updates for various Supply Chain and HR Systems to achieve BJ’ goals and objectives.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Defining Information Technology related cross functional requirements, analyzing solutions, and defining functional requirements. Proactively leading and analyzing cross-functional business processes and identifying and implementing process improvements and associated metrics. Developing test scripts, coordinating the execution of test scripts and reporting results. Supporting the initialization and monitoring of short-term and emergency requirements. Leading assigned responsibilities in the implementation of Business Plan Initiatives and business process activities.


  • Experience in requirements management, designing, developing, and managing the rollout of software with a focus in Information Technology in the areas of Supply Chain and / or HR systems

  • Participate in selection of solution technologies to meet business requirements

  • Lead discovery activities with business partners to understand objectives, business process impact, possible system needs and alignment to BJ’s strategy, and project’s scope

  • Create reviewed and analyzed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and translated them to System Requirement Specification (SRS)

  • Perform GAP analysis to identify the deficiencies of the current as-is business systems and to identify the requirements for the change in the to-be systems

  • Develop Use Case diagrams, Use Case Templates, process flow diagrams, etc.

  • Demonstrate ability to own projects, think big and influence across all levels of an organization

  • Ability to provide leadership, manage stakeholder expectations and drive work forward independently, partnering closely with project managers, technology teams, QA teams and business teams

  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for large scale business transformation/integration projects involving multiple disparate testing environments, multiple QA teams, multiple vendors

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact successfully with senior business and technology stakeholders

  • Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

  • Ability to learn and assist in minor technical configurations of various technologies

  • BA or BS degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or related field

  • Over 5 years professional experience in product management, retail, consulting, or related field
