Job Summary

Working within the Sales Operations, Team Member Experience group, the TM Experience Project Lead acts as a liaison cross-functionally to departments including Merchandising, Marketing, Property Development, Learning and Development, and Operations for project communication to field locations and project management. The Lead provides practical expertise and thought leadership to assist collaborators in developing project plans executed within the constraints of scope, quality, schedule, and cost. In this role, the Lead ensures that all project requirements and/or objectives are properly defined and documented. The Project Lead also obtains the appropriate internal and external resources and manages those resources to meet the objectives of their projects.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Work cross-functionally, to ensure that communications and tasks going to 245 club locations are relevant, timely, necessary and support available capacity.

  • Maintain and develop department project processes for instructional and organizational communication. Act as a key point of contact for Clubs and as a cross-functional liaison to Merchandising, Marketing, Property Development, Learning and Development and Operations.

  • Plan future capacity associated with merchandising, marketing and operational projects. Create instructional and organizational communication to ensure ability to execute. Manage through and adjust capacity to ensure all projects are possible. Where conflicts exist, escalate capacity issues as needed to the Senior Manager, TM Experience.

  • For all assigned projects, the Lead will manage the people, tasks, and resources within defined tolerances set by the project scope and expected deliverables, ensuring that the following is in place:

  • Project requirements and objectives are properly defined and documented.

  • Appropriate resources are in place to meet project objectives.

  • People, tasks and resources for assigned projects are managed within the defined tolerances. Work with the Senior Manager, Team Member Experience, to manage trade-offs between scope, quality, schedule and cost.

  • Develop clear, organized and detailed communication strategies for Field execution.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager Team Member Experience to plan and track the project budget. This will include issuing regular project updates in PowerPoint or other IT tools.

  • Organize, establish meeting cadence for, and manage project deliverables for project teams, inclusive of internal and external resources.

  • Provide tactical and strategic operations support to Field Teams, project tracking, resource capacity planning and other Operations communication activities, as required.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analysis or similar required.

  • 10+ years of retail operations experience.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to understand and develop constructive partnerships with functional business partners on a day-to-day basis and ability to negotiate with business partners at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to influence groups to ensure Operations capacity is maintained.

  • Ability to manage high volume of work, multiple tasks, meet project timelines.

  • Clear and effective communication, attention to detail, ability to process information with high-levels of accuracy.

  • Mostly in-office. Some travel required.

  • Hybrid position with 3-days per week in the Marlborough corporate office.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $98,500.00.
