FLIR is looking for a Program Manager to manage the design and development of infrared imaging systems. As a member of the Optical Systems Group, you will coordinate department and cross-functional teams, focusing on delivering and managing a specific product line. This role requires a technical background in order to complete its overall project management responsibilities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Represent OSG to Customers
Manage all communication and lead interface meetings
Manage / schedule audits, inspections and other customer visit
Coordinate preparation for audits and on-site visits, including PWAR Audits, MRA Audits, Pre-shipment Source inspections, etc.
Manage Customer flow-down requirements
Work through flowed-down Quality Notes and technical requirements; negotiate deliverables (14 documents, 300 pages)
Maintain documentation and revision control in compliance with end-customer record-keeping requirements
Manage programs through LRIP ramp (typically hundreds of units).
Actively manage program milestones, budget performance, deliverables and report project status using department process, tools and metrics
Coordinate & Support Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Quality Tasks
Manage any change requests / failure reporting, etc.
Coordinate any changes to OSG systems/processes required by the program
Coordinate Gov’t property aspect of any RMA activity
Coordinate in-process production issues with Engineering and QA
Monitor and prevent any process deviations
Manage secure data transfer to customers
Coordinate Government Source Inspection
Oversee secure handling of classified data
Work through Program Security Classification Guide and verify compliance
Work with FSO and ISSM to maintain classified analysis computer
Estimation and quotation support (as required)
Assists with developing and reviewing project estimations for projects, including resource allocation, priorities, schedules and forecasts.
Assists with maintenance of project scope estimates for identified future projects.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
5+ years project/program management experience leading highly skilled technical teams.
Familiarity with government contracts including contracts with require handling classified data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills at all levels in a company; robust interpersonal skills with evidence of teamwork and collaboration.
Drives deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
Must be a US Person: US Citizen or US Permanent Resident required.
Proven commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Formal Project Management training or other similar training (e.g. PMP or MBA) desirable.
