Job Description
Job Summary:
Technical build, of Teledyne FLIR FWS-I Weapon Sight camera and infra-red/I2/fusion camera related products in support of all phases of production.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
With minimum supervision, responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, and providing accurate, real-time status of all subassemblies. Integration of complex / difficult system level components into camera level systems.
Builds camera products in accordance to manufacturing work instructions, (assembly/test work instructions, build travelers, configuration logs, TDA’s, ECO’s, etc.).
Become an integral team member of a one-piece-flow, lean manufacturing assembly line.
Perform daily 5S and lean manufacturing disciplines.
Interfaces with production team to maintain manufacturing quality and efficiency while actively participating in day-to-day manufacturing goals.
Inspects and verifies work as specified by manufacturing quality standards.
May perform complex bonding and curing procedures.
May operate test equipment, instrumentation and collect automated test data.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma with 2-4 years manufacturing build experience.
Maintain a high level of technical and mechanical aptitude and versatility: electro-mechanical-optical.
Understanding lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
Proficiency using manufacturing test equipment.
Computer skills for accessing digital work instructions, data collection, reporting and communicating.
Demonstrated ability to learn on the job, think logically, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to communication clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Collaboration, teamwork, and ability to contribute independently.
Preferred:
Prior lean manufacturing assembly line build experience.
Understanding lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
