Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a professional with experience in both Information Technology and Business Administration. The Technical Architect will lead and work to build and refine capabilities for IT enterprise managed services for current programs, provide leadership in pursuit of IT modernization new business as well as identify key gaps to address through partnership or new capability development. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and highly innovative. He or she will also be responsible for translating business needs to cost-effective IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects and initiatives in mind.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead Architect to design enterprise solutions.

  • Hands-on architecting and designing solutions through domain models (application, integration, data, etc.) and use cases that describe larger system behavior and impact of solution.

  • Collaborate directly with Program Management Operations (PMO) and leadership teams to identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities and broaden contribution in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction.

  • Experience capturing technical requirements, solutions and implementations.

  • Evaluate design alternatives and presenting technical recommendation through effective presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (developers, Senior Executives and IT management).

  • Evaluate new and existing system integrations and apply industry best practices for error handling, performance optimization, and overall security compliance related to data security, technical controls and MID server security (physical security, server platform, network connectivity).

  • Engage technical talent to understand present and future business challenges.

  • Design solutions to cost, staff build out plans, develop basis-of-estimate, win and execute. Shape and develop technical solutions and industry-partner relationships.

  • Knowledge and experience on security controls and NIST Security Standards such as 800-171, Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Categorizations (FIPS publications).

Job Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Computer Engineering or related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a Technical or Solutions Architect.

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

  • Advanced technical skills.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • A track record of following through on commitments.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Experience leading and developing top performing teams.

  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
