2nd shift plating operator Location: Billerica, MA Hours: 2 pm - 10:30pm Pay Rate: \$19.80 US citizen or perm resident No drug test and background are required. Description: This position is for someone looking to learn a new manufacturing skill. Candidates will be working to plate metal materials in different chemicals through a bath process. They will be reviewing job cards and determining how to run each part because each customer order is different. They will then be cleaning the material before starting the process and making sure no dust or dirt is on each part. They will then determine how long the part needs to be run and run the process accordingly (depending on size , density of the piece). After running the part through the bathing process they will then inspect the part visually to make sure there are no noticeable defects. Ability to lift 20+ lbs Ability to follow work instructions Minimum Qualifications: High School completion or equivalent (GED) 1-2 years equivalent experience in production in a cleanroom environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a cleanroom environment Experience interpreting drawings Knowledge of Lean manufacturing KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently) Strong communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality Ability to be trained on and adhere to all cleanroom protocols Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel Problem-solving skills
