We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

As a Software Developer in Test intern you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to activities and task listed below:


  • Interact with other departments to understand and break down business requirements

  • Construct test scenarios, test scripts, execute them and report the results

  • Assist in automated testing development

  • Perform software and system verification and validation using manual and automated tests

  • Document defects in the Bug Tracking Repository

  • Assist developers in analyzing and identifying the sources of application problems

  • Follow currently established procedures, provide feedback for processes improvement

  • Ensure strong commitment to on-time, quality delivery of all projects and deliverables


  • 1+ year of experience in software development and testing;

  • Familiar with software test automation tools (Selenium, QTP, Ranorex, or similar);

  • Familiar with API testing (SOAP UI or similar);

  • Good understanding of SDLC, software QA methodologies, and processes;

  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases;

  • Experience with relational databases, SQL server is preferred;

  • Experience with web development is a plus. Programming skills in C# (preferred), .NET, Visual Studio, TFS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects

  • At least 2nd-year Computer Science student, Engineering or a related subject

  • GPA must be greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPA

  • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
