Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a Litigation Attorney for our Northshore client. Great pay and benefits for the right candidate. Must be able to go into the office 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on managing all general litigation matters, including the filing of initial lawsuits through judgment with a focus on breach of contract claims, creditor’s rights, and other commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing lawsuits from filing of complaint to judgment.

• Cooperating with internal restructuring and accounting teams to prepare matters for litigation.

• Assisting with prelitigation matters and coordinating with our "workout" team to resolve defaults and disputes.

• Engaging and managing external local counsel to handle out-of-state matters, including recovery of collateral, domesticating, and collecting upon MA judgments and other relevant litigation.

• Assisting with legal matters, such as bankruptcy and insolvency as needed.

• Managing out-of-state dockets.

• Offering legal analysis and strategy advice to business executives regarding the status of MA and out-of-state litigation.

  Requirements

Key Requirements/Qualifications:

• JD from a nationally recognized law school.

• Licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

• Minimum of 4-5 years of commercial litigation experience.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects under deadline pressure.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.

• Prior experience with creditor’s rights, bankruptcy or insolvency will be advantageous.
