Endicott College Graduate Assistant, Strength and Conditioning Coach and Contest Management in Beverly, Massachusetts

The Department of Athletics at Endicott College (NCAA Division III, Commonwealth Coast Conference & New England Collegiate Conference) is seeking a Graduate Assistant (GA), Strength & Conditioning Coach and Contest Manager. Responsibilities of the GA are split between the implementation, programming, general direction, and monitoring of strength and conditioning programs for our student-athletes and contest management duties.

This is a two-year contract - 10-months each year (August- May). Benefits as stated in the Employee Handbook . Package includes a stipend, room/board, meal plan, and tuition remission. Class fees are not included. Application review will begin on April 15, 2022.

Responsibilities include:

S&C responsibilities are split between the implementation, programming, general direction, and monitoring of strength and conditioning programs for our student-athletes. Under the direction of the Head Strength & Conditioning coach, the successful graduate assistant will:

• Design, supervise, and implement the various strength & conditioning programs in a safe and technically sound setting.

• Problem-solve and effectively communicate with students, coaches, and other staff members.

• Create professional relationships with students, staff, coaches, and faculty and exhibit the standards and culture of the department and institution.

Contest Management responsibilities would include multiple duties surrounding athletic events including but not limited to:

• Welcoming opposing teams to campus

• Escorting teams/coaches to locker rooms and fields/arenas

• Serving as Site Supervisor for the overall operation of an athletics event

• Supervising the student workers at assigned events

• During championship events, be available for games/ride fan buses

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Must be accepted as a full-time student in an Endicott graduate program for Fall 2022

• Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Recreation, Physical Education, Health Science, or a related field

• Currently hold National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification or eligible to obtain CSCS certification prior to start date

• Ability to think critically and problem solve

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs

• Must be able to safely lift 75+ lbs.

• Occasional work exposure in outdoor weather conditions

• CPR/AED Certification required

• Able to work nights and weekends
