Job Description:

As an Endoscopy Technician you will assist with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Assists the physician with endoscopic procedures, including positioning, biopsy retrieval, polypectomy and sigmoidoscopy. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks & procedures for which they have been trained. Responsibility for cleaning, processing & maintaining endoscopes is a priority. The Endo Tech must demonstrate the ability & willingness to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Call hours: Monday thru Thursday: 5:30 pm to 11 pm and 11 pm to 6 am

Friday: 5:30 pm to 11 pm and 11 pm to 7 am

Saturday: 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am

Sunday: 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 6 am

Must be no more than 30 minutes driving distance from hospital when on call.

Holidays: On call responsibilities = 2 major holidays (8-hour shifts) and 2 minor holidays (8 or 12-hour shifts)

E DUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Grad or Equivalent.

Endo Tech experience and CNA/patient care experience preferred. BLS required.

Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience and Multi-skilled Associate Training: EKG, Phlebotomy preferred.
