Job Description:

Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative, under the direction of the Lab Outreach Manager performs functions which include: answering telephones, provide results via telephone, fax and mail, assists patients and client with questions and/or complaints, resolves internal laboratory specimen problems, acts as a liaison between customers and the laboratory to promote increased customer satisfaction with laboratory services by both successfully answering inquires/resolving problems and by presenting a positive professional image.

The essential functions of this position are denoted by criteria with weights equal to or greater than 2. Criteria with weights less than 2 are considered marginal functions for this position.

  1. High School graduate or equivalent

  2. 1 – 2 years experience in a healthcare related setting, preferable in the


  1. Previous Customer Service experience preferred.

  2. Medical Terminology. Word processing at 40 WPM.
