Administrative Coordinator - Emergency Department, 40 hours per week, Days (7am - 3:30pm)

Job Description:

Position​ ​Summary​:

Under the direction of the director of emergency services this position will report directly to the nurse manager of the emergency department. Responsibilities will include creating monthly schedules and meets daily staffing needs for the department of emergency services based on acuity and budgetary guidelines. Completes department assignment sheets based on identified needs, acuity, and staff competency. Works in conjunction with nurse managers to proactively meet the needs of the department during periods of high census, acuity, and position vacancies. Processes payroll for both emergency departments based on hospital policy and guidelines from the Massachusetts Nurses Association. Develops and compiles statistical data and reports as requested including, but not limited to time and attendance and payroll breakdown reports. Coordinate orientation/training in conjunction with the emergency department clinical practice specialist for all new hires. Support all emergency department leadership with various projects as needed including but not limited to scheduling/coordinating classes for new hires, maintenance of competency lists, investigative processes, and documentation.

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate or equivalent required. Administrative Associate training preferred Proficiency with KRONOS, WORD, EXCEL required.
