Robert Half Inventory Manager in Bellingham, Massachusetts

Description The Inventory Manager position plays an integral part in the integrity of the company by working with the Director of Merchandising to deliver on purchasing & inventory forecasting goals as well as key warehouse performance metrics. This role will manage the inventory team to meet inventory/purchasing departmental goals and ensure that company process & procedures are followed and documented. This position will work on a variety of Inventory/Warehouse related projects/initiatives requiring a professional level of collaboration with co-workers at all levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Inventory Management which includes controlling when and how inventory is taken in.

• Implement new technology in the warehouse as directed by the Chief Financial Officer and CEO.

• Improve the working communication between the Warehouse and Office.

• Improve inventory management and order processing procedures, implementing best practices where necessary.

• Support obtaining and maintaining ISO 9001 Certification where necessary.

• Review inventory turns and recommend improvements in the ordering process.

• Working in tandem with the Director of Merchandising on the narrow and deep inventory strategy.

• Responsible for improving inventory accuracy through the cycle counting process.

• Responsible for Merchandise Return processes and procedures.

• Improve Alert Inventory notifications within and outside organization.

Keys/Requirements:

• BS degree in Business Management, or related business experience required. 5+ years overall Inventory/logistic experience w/ a minimum of 2+ years’ work experience in a supervisory inventory management, warehousing or purchasing operations role.

• Proven and relatable experience in demand/forecasting, ordering merchandise in large volumes, Strong understanding of SKU rationalization and control, Warehouse KPI’s/metrics, coordination with logistics, and finance teams.

• Strong ERP and Excel skills (prefer a wireless warehouse system)

• Soft skills: Can do attitude, strong analytical , problem solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to conceptualize long term business needs. Requirements
