Job Description

Department Summary:

The Visitor Management Office is responsible for all incoming and outgoing visits requests, foreign national visitors, daily meeting and conference support, onboarding contingent workers, classified and unclassified contracts and processing badge and computer account requests as needed. This office has high visibility and requires extensive customer service.

Job Description:

This candidate will join MITRE's Visitor Management team, supporting the high annual flow of visitors to MITRE for numerous meetings, conferences, and events. In additional to a generalist role supporting meetings and conferences across the board, you may also be asked to learn and fill in various roles within the visitor management portfolio to include outgoing visit requests, incoming visitor requests for tenants, contractors, subcontractors and foreign nationals. This candidate will use various online security automated systems to verify security clearances and ensure positive control is maintained for visitors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a secret clearance

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2-4 years of related experience or , or 2 years’ experience and an Associates’ degree, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

  • Verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with Office suite, Adobe, and administrative tools. Ability to quickly acquire new skills with great attention to detail and procedural correctness.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage an extensive array of responsibilities with minimal supervision while also working well as a team player with other staff on shared responsibilities.

  • Strong administrative support experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience using databases such as SIMS, DISS, Workday is preferred.
