Position Summary:

Effectively lead and manage worldwide cartridge distribution and inventory control for the Bedford plant. Manages staff to include hiring, training and development. Take ownership for processes related to Receiving, Cycle Counting, Shipping and Inventory Control activities. Work with Customer Service to ensure we are meeting our customer commitments regarding product delivery. Ensure team members comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:


Essential Functions:

  • Driving site and operational goals through individual contribution and direct supervision of staff

  • Implementing operational efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities

  • Thorough, detailed knowledge and usage of the SAP Manufacturing, Materials Management, and Supply Chain modules, acts as the primary resource for team training, problem solving, and coordination with our IT Team on any and all issues that arise out of normal daily functioning and periodic upgrades.

  • Acting as the project manager for distribution-related continuous improvement projects

  • Promoting a safe work environment

  • Partnering cross functionally to ensure Import/Export process and procedure compliance

  • Owning and revising, as required, Standard Operating Procedures and applicable training documents to ensure department compliance

  • Providing direct leadership and mentoring to staff as it relates to receipt, storage and product distribution

  • Supporting the development and implementation of cold chain logistics solutions as required

  • Developing and leading all aspects of monthly metrics and present to management

  • Supporting business continuity risk management

  • Directly interfacing as required with representatives of the FDA, other governing agencies, and companies for audits and other inspections

Budget Managed (if applicable)

  • Upwards of $10M per year.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Education:

  • BS degree in Business or Engineering; CPIM/CIRM certification

  • Experience:

  • 10-15 years in Medical Device or Consumables Distribution role(s)

  • Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Logistics certification
