Work withGovernment sponsors and industry to modernize existing Communications Security(COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC) aspects of existing Military RadioFrequency (RF) Communications systems to retain the security posture of thesesystems and to specify, help acquire and verify COMSEC and TRANSECcharacteristics of new and emerging Military RF Communications.Also, specification of secure,non-proprietary, Cryptographic Interoperability Specifications for use in theseMilitary RF Communications systems.
BS degree and 5 years of related experience
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar field and 5 years of experience.
Existinginterest and exposure, through work or personal reading on cryptography.Having read in books on cryptography, spies,intelligence organizations and can provide insights to use on the job.
Ability to quickly absorb and retain large amounts of information on many aspects of cryptographic systems, depending on those being worked for our sponsor.

Obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
One or more of the preferred qualifications
Goodability to work with others and build a “coalition of the willing” to help movesolutions through the process. This has to be tempered with keepingGovernment’s sensitive information close hold.
CurrentSIPRNet access or means to obtain this access within two to four weeks ofstarting.JWICS access, if they have aTS/SCI, a bonus.
Abilityto synthesize proposed solutions from the large amounts of informationreferenced above or to “poke holes” in solutions proposed by contractors andGovernment entities.“Poking holes”,ability to see problems, especially security problems, in proposed solutionsand existing implementations.
Recognition of self-made errors and taking the initiative to correct that error.
