Ocular Therapeutix, Inc QC Analyst I in Bedford, Massachusetts
Position Summary:
The QC analyst maintains quality standards by managing the receipt and handling of samples for QC. They are also responsible for sample shipping, contract lab management, and the inspection of in-process materials. Participate in testing of samples, ordering of laboratory supplies, glassware cleaning, and general upkeep of the laboratories.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Manage the receipt, submission, and tracking of testing for QC samples.
Coordinate external testing with contract labs (procuring quotes, purchase orders, shipping of samples, acquiring test results, etc.)
Support QC Analytical chemistry testing using laboratory equipment (Instron, microscope, etc).
Follow Good Documentation Practices (maintaining contemporaneous records, filling out logbooks, forms, etc.)
Perform other related duties and tasks as required or assigned
Adherence to cGMPs at all times.
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field preferred
0+ years’ work experience
Knowledge of CFR 210,211, USP and FDA/ICH guidance an advantage
Operation in a GMP, GDP, GLP industry experience an advantage
Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office, Excel, etc.
Knowledge of safe laboratory practices an advantage
Strong verbal and written communication skills
