Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to drive innovation in medical diagnostic systems. The Principal Electrical Engineer will oversee major product developments, apply advanced engineering techniques, and mentor junior staff. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project leadership, and effective communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Lead projects or product lines, ensuring timely completion and adherence to schedules.

  • Develop and document design controls and contribute to technical documentation.

  • Plan, perform, and prioritize complex tasks aligned with corporate goals.

  • Design and develop test methods, specifications, and technical solutions for complex components.

  • Analyze and recommend design options based on cost and performance.

  • Identify, document, and resolve product defects.

  • Communicate technical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians.

  • Support CAPA and complaint investigations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field with 12 years of experience in product development, or 8-10 years with an advanced degree (in-vitro medical device experience is a plus).

  • 10 years of experience in FPGA design or embedded DSP software.

  • Proficiency in digital and analog circuits and mixed-signal devices

  • Experience in designing and managing control systems.

  • Strong system-level troubleshooting skills and analysis.

  • Experience in creating and testing simulation models and hardware.

  • Understanding of compliance concepts and testing.

  • Knowledge of power electronics and distribution.

  • Proven track record in product lifecycle management, project leadership, and effective communication.
