The Edinburg Center Outreach Counselor - Children's in Bedford, Massachusetts

CHILDREN'S OUTREACH COUNSELOR

$18.86 per hour

The Edinburg Center is seeking a full-time Outreach Counselors for Children’s Mental Health Services program providing services to youth under the age of 21 with mental health needs in the communities of the North Shore. This position is full-time with benefits.

What You Will Do:

Work as part of a dynamic fun specialty team consisting of a Master’s level Mental Health Clinician, Occupational Therapist, Young Adult Peer Mentor (YAPM) and a Family Partner Providing outreach and support to youth and families; engaging youth and families. Active participation in Case management and

documentation adhering to family voice and choice, and use a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach.

Who You Are:

An energetic passionate individual who want to make a difference working with youth with the following requirements:

A high school diploma or GED, AND 3-years of relevant experience working with youth OR

A qualifying bachelor’s degree or associate’s A high school diploma or equivalent and 2-years of relevant experience working with youth, a qualifying bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in a human services field from an accredited institution and 1-year of relevant experience working with youth. Oral and written fluency in a needed language preferred.

Additionally, the individual must be 21 years or older and maintain a flexible schedule including afternoon and evening availability. The individual must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.

At work, we are psychiatrists, social workers, clinicians, nurses, behavior specialists, peer specialists, board certified behavior analysts, direct service staff and employment specialists.
