In MITRE's Electronic System Development and Embedded Security department, we apply this principle as we dig deep into hard problems to find innovative, practical ways to solve tough challenges for a variety of government sponsors across a range of technical applications.

We are currently seeking to grow our team with highly talented engineers, specifically those with demonstrated experience implementing complex RF and mixed signal electronic prototypes. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to architect and implement technical solutions for a wide range of challenges currently faced by our government sponsors. We specialize in rapid prototyping of advanced sensor, communication, and navigation systems on real-time embedded platforms.

Responsibilities include:

We are interested in highly motivated candidates with a wide variety of skills and interests in RF, analog, and mixed signal design and prototype development. Responsibilities encompass working with system engineers to define requirements, develop RF system architecture, and leading multidisciplinary design teams through prototype development including integration, prototype testing, and field test in a variety of environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS and 8 years related experience

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance

  • B.S. (or higher) in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of related experience

  • Demonstrated ability to architect and implement complex RF systems

  • Advanced knowledge of communication, navigation, or sensor systems and extensive expertise with laboratory measurements and equipment

  • The candidate should have a strong technical background with advanced knowledge of circuit design with CAD tools such as Keysight ADS/Momentum and Genesys

  • Experience with PCB layout considerations

  • Expertise in industry standard best practices for mixed signal design, verification, test, and deployment

  • Candidate must have strong development, debugging, and problem-solving skills

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which will require US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering

  • The candidate should have a blend of technical and leadership skills

  • Experience developing system and RF subsystem requirements to specifying RF/mixed signal architectures

  • Experience in leading technical teams and in all aspects of system prototype design

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possess an active DoD secret clearance.
