Department Summary:

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Inclusion & Diversity, the l incumbent will be responsible for integrating our Inclusion& Diversity strategic framework, processes, and practices across the enterprise in collaboration with the Diversity & Chief Sustainability Office and within the Center for Operations, Outreach, and Legal (COOL)sector. The individual will be an integral advisor and consultant in building trusted partnerships with our HR business partners and business unit leaders to support their strategic I&D objectives and goals. The Principal, Inclusion & Diversity is a strategic partner, thought leader, and cultural ambassador in curating I&D experiences that cultivate an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the growth and momentum of our inclusion and diversity journey with impactful learning outcomes on building the skills and capabilities of our talent to cultivate an inclusive work environment and a sense of belonging

  • In partnership with the HR managers and business partners, develops proposals and recommendations that help achieve clients’ needs and provides domain knowledge and guidance on I&D initiatives and practices that attract, develop, retain, and advance top talent for equitable outcomes

  • Works closely with leadership in developing annual I&D strategic priorities and key lines of effort for the Inclusion & Diversity function and will support in the execution of priorities with key stakeholders across our business sectors and corporate functions

  • Assists in creating impactful goals and milestones aligned to the I&D strategic framework and key lines of effort for the division’s established scorecard

  • Conducts research and benchmarking on I&D standard methodologies, emerging trends, and applying the insights to our relevant initiatives and practices

  • Serves as a key strategic member of the I&D function, providing input, direction, mentoring, and brand presence at external events.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Corporate Diversity Management/Consultation, Human Resources, and Multicultural Marketing/Brand Management

  • Proven track record and ability to influence and partner with business and HR leaders to successfully drive organizational I&D initiatives and gain their commitment

  • Well-developed curriculum development experience with a strong focus on inclusion and diversity topics

  • Well-developed group facilitation experience with strong acumen on inclusion and diversity concepts, issues, and initiatives within a corporate setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy on issues of inclusion and diversity

  • Ability to handle complex I&D issues with discretion, serving as an advisor for successful conflict resolution across the enterprise

  • Analytical skills with the ability to use data to create, develop, and execute I&D strategies and initiatives for impactful outcomes

  • Serves as a dynamic team builder inspiring and coaching teams across geographies and cultures, as well as externally.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Certification
