ABOUT YOU
As a Heavy Equipment Operator (Bargaining Unit, Local No. 25), you excel in this role by proficiently operating heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring meticulous landscaping and facility maintenance, and responding promptly to cleaning tasks from offices to restrooms. Your dedication to safety, proactive equipment maintenance, and effective communication with supervisors and customers ensures smooth operations and a well-maintained environment.
What you will do:
Operate a variety of heavy equipment including plows, loaders, and backhoes, ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep as directed.
Maintain cleanliness of streets and airfield, performing landscaping tasks such as grass cutting, weed control, and debris removal.
Perform general maintenance duties including repairs on water lines, sewers, and airport structures, and assist with minor repairs and painting.
Clean common areas and offices, including washing walls, floors, and windows, and responding to cleaning requests promptly.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Proficiency in reading, basic oral, written, and mathematical skills, with manual dexterity and ability to operate required machinery.
5 years of relevant airport-related experience.
Massachusetts CDL "A" and hoisting license.
