Responsibilities:

As a Cost Estimator, you will:

  • Utilize ACEIT Software: Develop, maintain, and analyze cost estimates for DoD programs.

  • Collaborate: Work closely with program managers and financial analysts to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.

  • Generate Detailed Cost Models: Conduct sensitivity analyses to identify potential cost drivers and areas for optimization.

  • Prepare and Present Reports: Assist in the preparation and presentation of cost estimates, reports, and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Refine Methodologies: Continuously update and refine cost estimating methodologies to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Data Validation: Collect and validate data, including historical cost data, technical specifications, and program schedules.

  • Risk Assessment: Assess risks and uncertainties associated with cost estimates and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Stay Current: Keep up with industry best practices and emerging trends in cost estimation and ACEIT software capabilities.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team and project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.

  • Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree with 4 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, or

  • 8 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions.

  • Expertise in ACEIT: Proficiency with ACEIT software is essential.

  • Defense Acquisition Experience: Experience with lifecycle cost estimating for defense acquisition programs is highly desired.
