TITLE: Seasonal Parking Attendant/Custodian STATUS: Full-time; Seasonal ONSITE START DATE: June 14, 2024 END: August 25, 2024 SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Sunday (5) Day work week averaging 40 hrs REPORTS TO: Evening Facilities Shift Manager DEPARTMENT: Facilities WORKS WITH: Patron Services COMPENSATION: \$22.00-25.00 per hour BENEFITS (SUMMER ONLY): Three meals daily, free access to classes, performances, talks, and studio usage. We are looking for a Seasonal Parking Attendant/Custodian to join the Facilities Department and work closely with/report directly to the Evening Facilities Shift Manager. This position is entrusted with providing courteous, reliable, and efficient customer service while monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of the parking area as well as cleaning and maintaining the public restrooms. RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintain parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized. - Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary. - Greet patrons. - Assist patrons with locating vehicles or providing patrons with instructions for locating vehicles. - Clean and maintain the public restrooms by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors and bathroom fixtures. - Restock restroom paper goods and remove the trash. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in the hotel industry, cleaning services, or related fields. - Ability to work independently and on a team. - Strong attention to detail. - Willingness to be helpful and adjust priorities at a moment\'s notice. - Willingness to work with the public. - Must be able to work flexible shift hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Possess excellent customer service skills. - Possess an outgoing and enthusiastic personality. - Demonstrates exceptional communication skills by conveying information effectively. WORKING CONDITIONS - Working regularly in wooded areas with exposure to native wildlife including, but not limited to, rodents, ticks, and mosquitos. - Working regularly outdoors in all weather conditions including inclement weather. - Working a 5-day work week, including late evenings, and weekends. - Moving equipment up to 50 lbs alone or with assistance. - Moving through and between multiple locations throughout the entire campus. - Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time. - Ascending and descending straight and step ladders.
