  • Business Development Manager, Radome & Electromagnetic Products for diverse radome and reflector product lines. Our division designs and manufactures ground-based radomes, including composite and metal space frame radomes, shipboard and airborne radomes, as well as precision reflectors and antenna products.

Job Description:

  • Prospects and sells comprehensive radome and reflector product lines to a wide and diverse customer base with a strong emphasis on new business development.

  • Direct execution of sales efforts and initiatives across legacy product lines to achieve annual sales and order goals.

  • Supports new and existing customers, manufacturing and customer service personnel in resolving technical questions and problems.

  • Defines customer needs and actively participate with Program Management Office (PMO) and Engineering staff for proposal generation.

  • Maintains strong customer relationships throughout the process, before, during and after the sale.

  • Provides accurate and timely feedback of market intelligence and customer desires to management to assist in product development and improvement.

  • Willingness to positively contribute to overall departmental and organization wide sales goals, programs and projects.

  • Responsible for developing proposals and quotations based on customer requirements. Process includes using and completing company procedures for quotations, NPI Gate Approval Process, Costing and Pricing data and other associated tasks to deliver accurate price proposals and quotations to customers.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining monthly sales forecasting activities and annual sales plans using CRM – Microsoft Dynamics software for a given customer base.

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with other sales representatives and engineering personnel.

  • Meets with key clients to maintain relationships, negotiate and close deals.

  • Responsible for the development of Weekly Reports of sales activities.

  • Develops a Monthly Short Term Forecasts (STF) using the CRM software program.

  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or engineering from four-year College or University, a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or Electronics) is preferred; and five to ten years’ experience in direct business-to-business or business-to-government sales.

  • Experience selling to Government and Commercial customers and to Prime Contractors including Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, etc. is required.

  • Strong overall business knowledge, excellent communication skills and ability to be organized and juggle multiple tasks at once is essential.

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition process is beneficial.

  • Excellent computer skills required with strong proficiency in Windows™ interface, Microsoft Office™ package (Outlook™, Word™, Excel™, PowerPoint™, and Access™).

  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Secret Clearance or ability to obtain secret clearance.

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% both domestic and foreign travel.
