Shipping and Receiving Associate
Location: Attleboro, MA (Jewelry Manufacturing Company)
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $19 $21 / hour
Benefits offered when hired: Medical, Dental, 401K, Vacation (PTO)
Hours: Monday - Friday (7am to 4:30pm)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role primarily involves handling and preparing jewelry chains for shipping. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work with small, delicate items.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately assemble and package orders, including weighing and bagging jewelry chains (60% to 70% of the time).
Tag, bag, and label jewelry chains for shipment, ensuring precision with small items and spools of chain.
Prepare shipments using FedEx and UPS, ensuring timely and accurate processing (1:30 PM to 3:30 PM daily).
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure the integrity of products and efficient workflow.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth shipping operations.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping systems.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling small or delicate items.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and grow within the company—opportunities for advancement available.
