Sensata Technologies, Inc. Digital Communications - SEO Summer 2025 Intern in Attleboro, Massachusetts

Our Internship Program is designed to provide individuals with challenging projects and related work assignments, insight into our growing organization, and direct access to senior leaders at Sensata. The internship will be a realistic job preview as to what it is like to work at Sensata and a chance for interns to showcase their skills and abilities. Our twelve-week program includes informational lunch and learns, group outings and networking, and opportunities to interact with global team members.

The Digital Communications - SEO Intern will be assigned to a specific project within a specific business unit. This intern is designed to give each intern a concentrated view of the search engine optimization responsibilities at Sensata.

Internship projects vary from year to year and are based on current business needs at the time of the internship. Details will be provided prior to your start date. All projects will be with guidance from the Digital Communications team.

Responsibilities for the Digital Communications - SEO Intern may include:

1. SEMrush Tool Management:

  • Become familiar with Sensata’s existing SEMrush account and digital marketing strategy.

  • Monitor SEO dashboards to track keyword performance, backlinks, and overall health of SEO efforts.

  • Conduct keyword research and analyze the performance of current keywords used in Sensata’s content and online presence.

  • Analyze Semrush reports for areas of improvement

2. SEO Strategy & Implementation:

  • Conduct and SEO audit on the current site to identify any current issues with the sites architecture that may impact SEO efforts. Areas to evaluate include use of page titles, content length, image links and titles, and URL structures. The results of the audit will help to identify problem areas and to set benchmarks for comparisons.

  • Help to define our most valuable pages to focus efforts on and help to generate a content update schedule.

  • Identify high-value, high-traffic keywords and suggest potential content topics and SEO strategies to drive organic growth.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to align SEMrush insights with ongoing content creation and optimization strategies.

3. Updating Website with Approved Content

  • Implement technical SEO improvements based on SEMrush audit recommendations (e.g., fixing broken links, improving site speed, mobile optimization).

  • Provide actionable recommendations based on the performance and strategies of competitors in the same sector.

4. Reporting & Recommendations:

  • Track SEO progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic, bounce rate, and search rankings.

  • Offer recommendations for improvement based on findings from SEMrush reports and ongoing analysis.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

  • Familiarity with SEMrush or similar SEO tools (preferred).

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make actionable recommendations.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently pursuing an undergrad or masters level degree (e.g. MBA) with interest or focus in digital media from an accredited program

  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident is NOT required for this position, however proper work authorizations will be required.
