MKS Instruments Inc Tax Manager in Andover, Massachusetts
A Day in Your Life at MKS: (Summary & Objectives)
As a Tax Manager at MKS, you will partner with the Global Tax Reporting team to manage all aspects of domestic tax compliance and income tax provision. You will also support in the execution of several tax planning initiatives. In this role, you will report to either the Director or Senior Manager, Global Tax Provision and Compliance.
You Will Make an Impact By: (Responsibilities)
Prepare and review ASC 740 US taxable income provision workpapers and assist with other components of ASC740 process
Prepare federal income tax estimate and extension calculations including federal tax adjustments
Assist in review of state tax workpapers and calculations including state apportionment and tax adjustments
Oversee outside tax compliance provider to ensure U.S. federal and state income tax returns are completed and filed in a time manner
Support special projects focused on process improvements, tax planning initiatives and software implementation
Support R&D and CHIPS credit studies as needed
Support review of sales tax filings
Assist with tax audits and notices
Skills You Bring: (Required Skills)
Bachelor’s degree
5-7 years of job-related work experience
Strong proficiency in Excel
Preferred Skills:
Master’s degree
CPA certification
Experience in Onesource Tax Provision
