Mercury Systems System Design Engineer in Andover, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to Design and develop tailored embedded sensor and mission processing systems You are responsible for * Technical solutions for customer proposals * Systems Engineering Management Plans * Analyses to define system behavior, structure, and requirements * Technical leadership of system detailed design and integration You are a part of A dynamic system design team working independently with senior staff mentoring and minimal management supervision To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience * System design, development, integration, verification, and qualification * Model based engineering with computer aided tools * Definition of system requirement specifications and verification test cases * Development of system functional, logical, and physical architecture designs * System integration, design verification and qualification test planning * Technical leadership of system detailed design and integration Responsibility Statement: Analyzes system performance and identifies risks. Develop and implement a strategy for systems installation activities Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Follow established procedures and guidelines to configure and install information systems (including hardware and software) that have been purchased by the organization’s customers. Interfaces directly with customers and provides bench marking, product demos, and formal technical presentations. Maps customer applications to Mercury products. May prepare and present sales proposals. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities Provide technical support and instruction to staff or customers regarding equipment standards, assisting with specific, difficult in-service engineering. Serves as the main technical contact for large qualified accounts. Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Customer's project technical liaison Linux, VxWorks, C, Python, and Bash programming Model based systems engineering with the systems modeling language Education: BS/MS Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics Work Experience: 2+ Years Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Ability to work in an engineering product development and integration lab environment.
