Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Cost Accountant in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be engaged in various aspects of cost accounting and analysis within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting cost analysis to support business decision-making processes.

• Utilizing advanced MS Excel and Oracle Cloud for data processing and management.

• Managing and maintaining the standard cost system.

• Overseeing inventory management and control processes.

• Ensuring compliance with SOX 404 regulations related to financial reporting.

• Assisting in the preparation and analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).

• Participating in the development and review of Bill of Materials (BOM).

• Handling materials accounting and providing insights for cost optimization.

• Conducting periodic audits and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements • The candidate must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field.

• A strong proficiency in Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis is required.

• The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Advanced knowledge of financial software and database systems is desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is important.

• A strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation is required.

• The ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports is necessary.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically are required.

• The candidate must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in performing all essential duties.

• A thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is necessary.

• The candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong organizational and planning skills are required.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is essential.

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is desirable but not required.
