Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.
Job Summary:
The Technical Services Group (TSG) provides total life cycle management for information systems and business applications for Raytheon programs, products, and services delivered globally.
We are a small group of multi-discipline engineers providing development, security and operational support to internal Raytheon development teams and large multi-national programs, as well as providing support to Raytheon's domestic and foreign business partners.
As a total life cycle provider, TSG works with our customers from design to deployment, and beyond. Long-term support is our specialty and we provide operational support, cybersecurity compliance, continuous monitoring, and obsolescence management to help ensure the systems we develop and deliver are aligned with the evolving business requirements for the life of the program.
As a Principal DevOps Engineer (Windows), you will be working as a member of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplined team of engineers to adopt and develop DevOps and Agile methodologies to develop processes and tools to automate and streamline the development, testing, securing, and management of complex information systems.
This position is designated as HYBRID. Commuting costs to and from the Andover, MA facility are the responsibility of the incumbent.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Responsibilities include the following:
Design, develop, secure, and manage Windows and Linux based systems operating in VMware and AWS cloud environments.
Create, develop, and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines to build, test, and deploy information systems and applications.
Provide support to system engineers and developers on build, test, and deployment automation tools.
Develop and implement processes and tools to automate the testing of pre-production solutions for quality and security issues prior to deployment.
Work with system engineers and developers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with managed information systems and business applications.
Work in an Agile Scrum environment supporting multiple teams for the Technical Services Group.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience developing, deploying and/or managing Windows systems in VMware and/or Amazon AWS environments. (Windows Server 2019+)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments and configuration management systems. (e.g., Chef, Ansible or Puppet)
Must have or obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level 2 certification within the first year of employment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security clearance is required. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating, managing, and optimizing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
Experience with scripting languages. (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Ruby)
Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems.
Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise and creating queries, dashboards, and reports to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Understanding of information security concepts and experience implementing cybersecurity best practices to systems and networks.
Demonstrable work history showing steady increase in the breadth and depth of systems administration knowledge and experience.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, but rarely to exceed 1-2 weeks per year.
An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
