System One Lab Technician in Andover, Massachusetts

Job Title: Upstream Lab Technician

Location: Andover, MA

Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent

Responsibilities

  • Assist bioprocess scientists and engineers with experimental preparation and execution

  • Routinely maintain lab instruments and small-scale laboratory equipment

  • Independently perform work in a controlled laboratory environment

  • Assist the team with documentation such as records, reports and worksheets.

  • Perform other applicable duties as deemed appropriate by the supervisor / manager

  • Be an integral part of the team

  • Ability to perform quality lab work with small scale bioreactors and ancillary analytical equipment.

  • Must be willing to learn new techniques while consistently performing on trained activities.

    Requirements

  • Associate degree in Science/Engineering discipline or B/A

  • Basic Lab Skills

  • Aseptic technique

  • Bioreactor

  • Maintenance and calibration of lab instruments

  • Mammalian Cell Culture
