Job Summary
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) is currently seeking a full-time Development Operations Administrator. This role will report to the Director of Individual Giving. The incumbent should be a forward-thinker, effectively implementing strategies and processes that will contribute to the overall success of the Fund Development team. The Development Operations Administrator focuses heavily on database management and analysis, requiring proficiency in gift entry, donor acknowledgements, receipts, reports, and tracking constituent information.
This role is a hybrid work arrangement with work from home and the GSEMA Andover office base as assigned; travel to other council office or properties as needed. As this role may also involve work activities on properties, designated sites/events and community locations as needed, access to reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all functions of Raiser’s Edge/NXT donor database, including maintaining technical knowledge and expertise in Raiser’s Edge/NXT software. Train other staff as needed to maximize the use of the tools and capabilities to ensure we are reaching our fundraising potential.
• Manage gift processing, tracking, and acknowledgment (individual and institutional), including timely entry of all gifts into donor database. Coordinate with Finance to ensure reconciliation of gift information.
• Support fundraising events which can include creating invitation lists, taking responses, creating nametags, managing the GiveSmart event platform for in-room donations and silent auction bids, managing registration, seeking in-kind donations, and more as needed.
• Work with Fund Development management team to support stewardship and cultivation activities, including data insights, research, communications, and reports.
Job Qualifications
Here is what you’ll need to succeed in this role:
• Aptitude for utilizing information technology, including fundraising databases and CRMs. Experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word mail merges and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Highly organized with superior attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing work independently.
• Adaptable problem-solver, effective in a fast-paced environment, capable of managing cross-departmental projects using tact and diplomacy.
