Pfizer Associate Scientist in Andover, Massachusetts
The Quality Lab Support (QLS) group is seeking a highly motivated candidate to provide solution formulation support in the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Solution Chemistry (SC) laboratory.
The candidate will be involved in all aspects of media/buffer formulation, use of related laboratory equipment and associated documentation, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The successful candidate will also be expected to support other QLS business activities as well as to cross train within the group, as needed.
Strong attention to details paired with good communication skills are essential.

Prepare solutions: buffers, media, and hazardous preps.
Standardize/ troubleshoot equipment.
Revise and create Standard Operating Procedures for formulations and equipment.
Create Meta Data Request for new equipment and new formulations.
Conduct Safety audits in the QLS areas.
Lead Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments within SC.
Manage group work schedule.
Contribute to the completion of team objectives and assigned project milestones.
Participate in the on-call program for critical QC equipment.
The selected candidate will be a member of Pfizer's dedicated and highly effective quality control team.
Associate's Degree required.
0-4+ years of relevant experience within a chemical/biological laboratory required.
Strong attention to details along with the excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be a team player.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Technical or science field of study preferred.
Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry preferred.
Understanding of cGMP concepts and manufacturing process preferred.
Experience with LIMS is a plus.
Willingness/ability to work in a BL2 laboratory.
Ability to perform math calculations.
Must be able to move/ lift boxes/bottles/ carboys of standards / reagents,
Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements This is a first shift Monday-Friday position.
