The Eric Carle Museum Social Media Specialist in Amherst, Massachusetts

AMHERST - HYBRID SCHEDULE ELIGIBLE - Social Media Specialist How you will contribute As the Social Media Specialist, you are a valued member of the communications department, responsible for maintaining our social media properties and developing campaigns to promote good community engagement, enhance the visibility of our brand, promote the Museum\'s collections and promote various museum initiatives such as the Museum\'s exhibits, activities, and events. You oversee the Museum\'s social media community serving as the liaison between the Museum and its social media audience, preparing and posting organic and paid social content, monitoring social properties for comments, and helping to develop and maintain the content calendar. You report to the Executive Director and work closely with the communications team on various small and large projects. You also oversee capturing of social media analytics to support analysis and reporting activities. Your Background and experience include Two to four years of experience in social media and marketing. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Art history or museum experience is a plus. Demonstrated experience in using and creating content and paid social media campaigns in a business setting for social media channels such as Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram), Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, and TikTok. Strong short-form video production skills. Proven verbal and written communications skills. Ability to interact with consumers online and in person, answering questions and facilitating discussion. Demonstrated experience with social media metrics, reporting and analytics. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be extremely organized and detail-oriented. Demonstrated relationship-builder who is able to partner cross-functionally and work collaboratively with various levels of the organization. Proficiency with Adobe Suite (Rush, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience with Premiere, CapCut and/or in-app tools. Cultural competency to collaborate and coordinate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Specifically, you will Provide daily community management for the Museum\'s social media accounts, including timely community moderation, visitor support and problem resolution, audience engagement, audience nurturing, and other activities as dictated by the Museum\'s social media strategy. Maintain social channel branding with up-to-date copy and artwork based on the institutional goals and social media strategy and internal stakeholders. Execute social media plan, ensuring content deployment for the Museum offerings, initiatives, and social opportunities is on time and in line with brand expectations. Collaborate and ideate with teams and stakeholders across the Museum. Produce original and campaign-related content (graphic, video, and copy) that helps move the Museum\'s mission forward following overall strategy. Maintain social analytics for social performance reports for internal and external partners. Position and compensation details This position is full-time 37.5 hours a week, non-exempt (hourly) with benefits. The hourly rate range is \$20 to \$24 per hour based on experience. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday and may require occasional weekends and evenings for campaigns and events.
