CFCE Early Lerning Spec-Bi-Lingual The Collaborative for Educational Services is currently seeking a Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) Bilingual Early Educator to provide developmentally appropriate, early learning and early literacy rich experiences, including playgroups for young children (ages 0-5) in the Amherst community. Their role is to enhance and foster positive relationships between parents and their children who speak primarily Spanish, and to collaborate with various community partners. Responsibilities also include providing community outreach and providing families with resources and information on early learning and development, parenting and on local community resources. This is you: You have the ability to work well with children, parents, caregivers, schools and community resources You can effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of individuals, collaborate with various community groups, mediate conflicts and involve a diverse group of individuals in programming are essential You have experience in early childhood education; early literacy skill development, parent engagement and parent education to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate and literacy rich parent/child playgroups. You are able to travel and work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend events You have proficient technology skills, and strong oral and written skills You are bilingual: English/Spanish Highlights of What You Will Do: Establish rapport with each family and display empathy and understanding of others\' perspectives, needs, concerns and culture Provide opportunities for families to learn and explore early learning and child development strategies that would enhance a child\'s growth and kindergarten readiness skills Provide appropriate resources and support to meet each family\'s individual needs as needed Conduct outreach to ensure that the community, partner agencies and schools have information about community based CFCE activities and events Maintain consistent communication and support to EEC licensed early childhood programs and public Terms of Employment: Requires working a flexible schedule, 8-12 hours per week. Salary: \$22/hour
