JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as "Voice of the Customer" reviewing concerns, questions and non-conforming material.
Analyze failures; perform root cause analysis and corrective action for process related concerns and/ or customer complaints.
Review, analyze, and determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions for internal Non-Conforming Material.
Posts Key Business Indicators in support of company and corporate goals.
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system and tools as well as work with manufacturing and engineering personnel in support of the quality function.
Interfaces with engineering and operations to ensure successful new product launches.
Supports the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements.
Continuously improve Quality first piece, in-process, and final inspection processes and procedures.
Assists in developing personnel to improve skills required to reduce final inspection turn-backs.
Installs statistical sampling and monitoring of processes as required, reports on trends.
Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. Degree with 5+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
Experience with CMM and CAD based computer programs.
Aerospace / AS9100 experience
Experience with ISO-9001, TS-16949 or AS-9100 Quality Management Systems
Experience with common machine shop gaging and techniques such as height gages, indicators, thread gages, plug gages, dial bore gages, surface finishes.
Familiar with CMM machines and the associated coordinate measuring system.
Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
