Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is looking for an experienced driver to drive a company owned truck and trailer, with capacity of approximately 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified local destinations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates truck for the delivery, pickup and relocation of company products
Choose the best route to return in a safe and timely manner
Loads and unloads truck
Carries out material handling functions as needed
Positions blocks and secures cargo to ensure safety during transit
Maintains and protects all property in excellent condition
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
Maintains all documentation related to truck maintenance
Calls for emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs
Establishes positive relationship with vendors and customers
Aids in keeping the warehouse clean and well always organized
Notifies Manager of any changes in routes, stops, or daily schedule
Notifies Manager of any needs related to safe and efficient performance
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Class D license required
Good driving record
Pass DOT Physical
EDUCATION
High School Diploma
Certification from an accredited CDL school a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
