State of Massachusetts Special Reporting Projects Lead in 600 Washington Street, Massachusetts
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic analyst to serve as Special Reporting Projects Lead, an integral member of our Data Analytics group within EOHHS Human Resources. The selected candidate will manage data, generate reports, and analyze outcomes related to the EOHHS workforce. They will also maintain databases and manage other special data projects as needed. The Lead will closely collaborate with peer analysts, the Manager of Data Analytics, and leadership from all HR functional units to develop reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights on key goals and HR processes. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all-inclusive):_ * Develop, manage, and present interactive data reports and dashboards in response to special project needs and specialized HR data requests. * Produce and distribute recurring and ad-hoc reports using data from HR/CMS Analytics and the Commonwealth Information Warehouse (CIW). * Manage MassForge labor database. * Utilize data to identify trends, assess areas of strength and weakness, and recommend system-wide changes and opportunities for improvements based on findings. * Support leadership in utilizing data to drive progress on key initiatives and goals. * Support the Data Analytics Manager in the unit’s expanded use of new data visualization and analytic tools for standard reporting. * Manage special projects as needed. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Experience sourcing, cleaning, and managing complex data sets in a Human Resources environment. * Data analysis and presentation skills, including the ability to create and share both simple and innovative, detailed reports and dashboards that support leadership decision-making. * Ability to collaborate with leadership and peer analysts to understand a business or reporting need, source related data, and produce actionable insights. * Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. * Intermediate skills in relational databases, including Microsoft Access. * Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Power BI are highly desired. * Proficient usage of other Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. _About the Executive Office of Health and Human Services:_ The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) oversees expenditures of over $22 billion annually.
