Position Summary: TheLegislativeAffairsco-opwillreportdirectlytotheChief of Intergovernmental Affairs,andworkaspart of the Legislative Affairs Team to support their ongoing projects. This can include preparation for public meetings,communicatingaboutprojectssuchastheSumner Tunnel Closure, Cape Cod Bridge Replacementand Allston I90 project to name a fewandprovidingadministrativesupporttotheteam. Other aspects of the co-op may include responding to public inquiries and conferring with staff, in order to exchange information, to coordinate efforts, and to obtain information concerning projects and activities. DutiesandResponsibilities:* * * Workwiththeteamtocoordinateandrunvirtualand in-personpublicmeetings. * ConductresearchonthedivisionsofDOT,Aeronautics,MBTA,RMV,andRailandTransit. * Attendteammeetingsandofferinputregardingweeklyactivities. * Beone ofthe liaisons tothe statelegislature. * Compileaweeklyreportthatissharedwithvariousmembersofstategovernment. * BecomeinvolvedwithpiecesofDOTthatinterestthem. * Continue to build in-house constituent database. * Attend public meetings regarding Highway projects both virtual and in-person Preferred Qualifications: * BeproficientinMicrosoftWordandExcel. * Beinterestedintransportationandstategovernment. * Beabletoeditandwritebriefs. * Beable to workindependently. * Beabletoplanahead.
