A factory line worker, also known as a production worker or production operative, is responsible for the proper functioning of an assembly line in a factory or warehouse. They may perform the following duties: Receive parts: Receive parts or objects as they come down the conveyor belt Assemble parts: Use screws, bolts, and other fasteners to hand-assemble parts Use hand-held tools: Use tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and rivets Pass on products: Pass assembled products to the next team member Clean workstation: Sweep or clean your workstation Report quality issues: Report any quality control issues to your supervisor Follow guidelines: Follow production and safety guidelines at all times Monitor equipment: Monitor manufacturing equipment Ensure quality: Ensure products meet quality standards and deadlines Attach labels: Attach company logos and labels to finished product
